New York Voucher For Assigned Counsel Psychiatrist Or Physician is a program administered by the New York State Office of Indigent Legal Services (OILS) that provides financial assistance to indigent individuals seeking legal representation from a qualified psychiatrist or physician. The program allows those in need of legal assistance to receive services from a qualified mental health professional, such as a psychiatrist, psychologist, or physician, at no cost or reduced cost. There are two types of New York Voucher For Assigned Counsel Psychiatrist Or Physician: one for adult clients and one for juvenile clients. The adult voucher provides up to $300 per hour for legal assistance provided by a qualified mental health professional; the juvenile voucher provides up to $250 per hour for legal assistance provided by a qualified mental health professional. Both vouchers require the payment of a nonrefundable application fee of $50. In addition, the vouchers require that the client have an attorney who is willing to represent them at no cost.
