New York Impartial Specialists Report of Medical Records Review is a detailed review of medical records conducted by a qualified independent medical specialist. The review is conducted in accordance with New York State regulations and includes a comprehensive review of the patient’s medical records, including the patient’s history, diagnosis, treatment, and prognosis. The review is designed to provide an objective assessment of the patient’s current health status, the appropriateness of the care provided, and the impact of the patient’s medical condition and treatment on his or her lifestyle. There are two types of New York Impartial Specialists Report of Medical Records Review: independent medical examination (IME) and independent medical review (MR). An IME is conducted by an independent medical specialist who is not affiliated with the patient’s treating physician, whilarmsMR is conducted by an independent medical specialist who is associated with the patient’s treating physician. Both reviews are conducted in accordance with New York State regulations.
