The New York Application for Standard Permit, Driver License or Non-Driver ID Card is an application form provided by the New York State Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV). This application form is used to apply for a standard driver license, non-driver identification card or a learner permit in the state of New York. There are three different types of applications within the New York Application for Standard Permit, Driver License or Non-Driver ID Card: 1. Application for Permit, Driver License or Non-Driver ID Card (Form MV-44): This application is used to apply for a learner permit, a standard driver license or a non-driver identification card. 2. Application for Duplicate/Renewal/Replacement of a Permit, Driver License or Non-Driver ID Card (Form MV-44.1): This application is used to apply for a renewal, replacement or duplicate of a standard driver license, learner permit or non-driver identification card. 3. Application for Permit, Driver License or Non-Driver ID Card for Persons with Temporary Visitor Status (Form MV-44TV): This application is used to apply for a standard driver license, learner permit or non-driver identification card for persons with temporary visitor status. To complete the New York Application for Standard Permit, Driver License or Non-Driver ID Card, applicants must provide the required information and documents, including proof of identity, residency and legal presence in the United States. Applicants must also pay any applicable fees.
