The New York Pistol Permit Transfer Out Form is a form used when transferring a handgun from one person to another in New York State. This form must be completed and signed by both the transferor (the person from whom the handgun is being transferred) and the transferee (the person to whom the handgun is being transferred). The form must also be signed by a New York State Licensed Gun Dealer (FFL) who is facilitating the transfer of the handgun. There are two types of New York Pistol Permit Transfer Out Forms: the Transfer Out Form and the Transfer Out Form with Co-Owner. The Transfer Out Form is used when transferring a handgun to a single person, while the Transfer Out Form with Co-Owner is used when transferring a handgun to two or more people. Both forms require the transferor and transferee to provide their names, addresses, and pistol permit numbers, as well as the make, model, caliber, and serial number of the handgun being transferred. The FFL must also provide their name, address, and FFL number on the form.
