New York Sanitary Privies are specialized toilets used in areas where traditional plumbing is unavailable. They are an efficient and hygienic way to manage human waste. Generally, these privies are used in campsites, parks and other outdoor areas, but can also be used in residential settings where traditional plumbing is not available. The New York Sanitary Privy is constructed from an insulated steel box and a flushable toilet seat. It is designed to be waterless, with a sealed tank that holds waste until it can be serviced. The tank can be emptied using a vacuum truck, or by using a “honey wagon” service which removes the waste from the tank and transports it to a wastewater treatment facility. There are two types of New York Sanitary Privies: the Standard Model and the Deluxe Model. The Standard Model features an aerated tank with a three-way valve for ease of draining, an adjustable overflow valve, and a waste level indicator. The Deluxe Model features a larger tank capacity, a wall mounted waste level indicator, and a dual-valve system for emptying and draining. Both models are designed to be easy to install and maintain, and are compliant with all local and state regulations.
