The New York Civil Case Management Plan and Scheduling Order (Judge Schofield) is a set of rules for case management of civil cases in New York State courts. It is a two-part order issued by Judge Schofield that sets out the procedures for efficiently managing civil cases in the Supreme Court of New York State. The first part of the order is the Case Management Plan which sets out the procedures for case management, including the filing of documents, discovery, and the timeline for case progression. The second part is the Scheduling Order that sets out the deadlines for filing documents, completing discovery, hearing motions, and the trial date. The New York Civil Case Management Plan and Scheduling Order (Judge Schofield) is designed to ensure that civil cases are managed efficiently and that all parties are aware of their roles and responsibilities in the case. There are two types of New York Civil Case Management Plan and Scheduling Order (Judge Schofield): the Standard Plan and the Complex Plan. The Standard Plan is used in cases that are expected to take less than one year to resolve, while the Complex Plan is used in cases that are expected to take more than one year to resolve.
