A New York Notice of Entry (Landlord-Tenant) is a written document used by a landlord to inform a tenant of their right to enter the tenant's dwelling. The purpose of the notice is to provide tenants with advance warning that the landlord or their authorized agent will be entering the premises. The notice must be given at least 24 hours before the landlord enters the premises, and must include the date, time, and purpose of the entry. There are two main types of New York Notice of Entry (Landlord-Tenant), namely the Non-Emergency Notice and the Emergency Notice. A Non-Emergency Notice is used when the landlord needs to access the tenant's dwelling for non-emergency purposes, such as for inspections, repairs, or showings. The Emergency Notice is used in situations where the landlord needs to enter the tenant's dwelling for an emergency, such as a fire or flooding. In both cases, the New York Notice of Entry must include the landlord's name and address, and the tenant's name and address. It must also contain the date and time of the entry, the purpose of the entry, and the name of any authorized agents who will be accompanying the landlord. The notice must be signed and dated by the landlord, and must clearly state that the tenant has the right to refuse entry or request that the landlord enter at a different time.
