New York Surrogate-P-15 RENUNCIATION of SUCCESSOR LETTERS TESTAMENTARY AND WAIVER of PROCESS (INDIVIDUAL), is a form that must be completed by an individual who has been appointed as the Successor Executor of a decedent's will. It is used to renounce their appointment and waive their right to receive the Letters of Testamentary, which is the document issued by the Surrogate's Court that appoints them as the Executor of the estate. This form must be completed and filed with the Surrogate's Court in order to effectively terminate the Successor Executor's appointment. It is important to note that the form must be completed by the Successor Executor in their individual capacity, and not in their capacity as Executor of the estate.
