The New York Affidavit of Defendant (UD-7) is a document used in New York State courts to contest a civil action. It is a sworn statement made by the defendant in a court action in which he or she denies liability for a claim brought against them. The New York Affidavit of Defendant (UD-7) must be served on the plaintiff in the action and the court in which the action is pending. It must also be filed with the court. The affidavit is used to formally dispute the allegations brought against the defendant and to deny responsibility for any damages or losses that may have been incurred. There are two types of New York Affidavit of Defendant (UD-7): 1. The UD-7A: This is a general affidavit of defense, and is used when the defendant denies all or part of the claim. 2. The UD-7B: This is a special affidavit of defense, and is used when the defendant admits part of the claim but denies the remainder.
