New York ADR Plan — Revised June 24, 2011NADDDRDR) is a dispute resolution system developed by the New York State Unified Court System to allow for the resolution of civil disputes outside the courtroom. NY ADR is a voluntary system that makes use of alternative dispute resolution (ADR) processes such as negotiation, mediation, arbitration, and early neutral evaluation. The plan was revised to include updated language on the use of ADR, as well as new provisions on the appointment of neutral evaluators, mediators, and arbitrators. The plan also sets out the procedures for conducting ADR proceedings, including the filing of a motion, the exchange of information, and the selection and appointment of neutrals. NY ADR is designed to provide an efficient and cost-effective way to resolve disputes and is applicable to all civil cases in New York State.
