Ohio ATV or Off Highway Motorcycle Affidavit of Ownership is a form used as a legal document that verifies ownership of an ATV or Off Highway Motorcycle in the state of Ohio. This form is used by the Ohio Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) to record and enforce the ownership of all ATVs and Off Highway Motorcycles registered in the state. There are two types of Ohio ATV or Off Highway Motorcycle Affidavit of Ownership: the Ohio New ATV or Off Highway Motorcycle Ownership Affidavit and the Ohio Used ATV or Off Highway Motorcycle Ownership Affidavit. The Ohio New ATV or Off Highway Motorcycle Ownership Affidavit is used for recording the ownership of a new ATV or Off Highway Motorcycle, while the Ohio Used ATV or Off Highway Motorcycle Ownership Affidavit is used for recording the ownership of a previously owned ATV or Off Highway Motorcycle. Both forms require the owner to provide information such as the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN), the make, model, and year of the ATV or Off Highway Motorcycle, and the name and address of the owner. The Ohio New ATV or Off Highway Motorcycle Ownership Affidavit also requires the owner to provide proof of purchase, while the Ohio Used ATV or Off Highway Motorcycle Ownership Affidavit requires the owner to provide the name and address of the previous owner. Both forms must be completed in full and signed by the owner before they can be accepted by the DMV.
