Ohio Application For Industry Specific Safety Program is a grant program offered by the Ohio Bureau of Workers' Compensation to provide employers with financial assistance for the implementation of an industry-specific safety program. The program provides funding to employers to develop and implement safety programs that will reduce the frequency and severity of workplace injuries. The program is available to employers in the manufacturing, construction, transportation, and service sectors of Ohio. There are four types of Ohio Application For Industry Specific Safety Program: the Safety Program Improvement Grant, the Safety Program Implementation Grant, the Safety Program Start-Up Grant, and the Safety Program Upgrade Grant. The Safety Program Improvement Grant provides funds for existing safety programs that need improvement or expansion. The Safety Program Implementation Grant provides funds for the implementation of a new safety program. The Safety Program Start-Up Grant provides funds to employers who are just starting a safety program. Finally, the Safety Program Upgrade Grant provides funds for employers who need to upgrade their existing safety programs.
