Oklahoma Unnecessary Losses is a program established in 2020 by the Oklahoma Insurance Department. It helps Oklahoman's who suffer from an unexpected loss of life, health, or property due to a tragedy, such as an accident, natural disaster, or criminal activity. The program offers financial assistance and support services to the victims and their families. There are three types of Oklahoma Unnecessary Losses: Death Losses, Health Losses, and Property Losses. Death Losses provide financial assistance for funeral and burial expenses, medical bills associated with the death, and counseling services. Health Losses provide financial assistance for medical bills, lost wages, and counseling services. Property Losses provide financial assistance for damage or destruction of property due to a tragedy and replacement of personal items. All of these services are offered free of charge to the victims and their families.
