Oklahoma Personal Property Loss of Use is a type of insurance coverage which provides compensation for the loss of use of personal property due to physical damage caused by a covered peril, such as a fire, theft, or vandalism. It is available to both residential and commercial policyholders in Oklahoma and is designed to reimburse policyholders for expenses associated with replacing or restoring lost or damaged personal property. There are two types of Oklahoma Personal Property Loss of Use coverage: Actual Cash Value and Replacement Cost. Actual Cash Value coverage pays the policyholder the current market value of the lost or damaged property, while Replacement Cost coverage pays the policyholder the amount necessary to replace the lost or damaged property with an item of equal value. Both types of coverage may also include additional living expenses incurred as a result of the loss.
