Oklahoma Transcript Redaction Request is a process by which a student or former student can request that specific information on their academic transcript be redacted. This process allows for the removal of sensitive information from transcripts before they are sent to third parties or released to the public. Examples of information that may be redacted include Social Security numbers, dates of birth, and other identifying information. There are three types of Oklahoma Transcript Redaction Request: 1) Social Security Number Redaction Request, 2) Date of Birth Redaction Request, and 3) Other Identifying Information Redaction Request. All requests must be made in writing and must include supporting documentation. The request should also include the student’s name, address, and phone number. The request should be sent to the student's college or university of attendance. Once the request has been received, the school will review the request and determine whether to approve or deny the request. If approved, the school will redact the requested information from the transcript and send a redacted copy to the requestor.
