Oklahoma Pro Bono / Civil Rights Application is a program that provides legal assistance to individuals and organizations in Oklahoma who are engaged in civil rights activities. The program provides assistance on a wide range of civil rights issues such as discrimination, police misconduct, and access to justice. It is provided by the Oklahoma Bar Association, in partnership with the Oklahoma Civil Rights Commission and the Oklahoma Indian Legal Services Program. There are three types of Oklahoma Pro Bono / Civil Rights Applications: a civil rights complaint, an appeal of a civil rights decision, and a civil right legal representation. The civil rights complaint is used to document claims of discrimination, police misconduct, or other civil rights violations. The appeal of a civil rights decision is used to challenge an agency decision involving civil rights. Finally, the civil rights legal representation is used to obtain legal counsel for individuals or organizations involved in civil rights activities.
