The Oklahoma Waiver of Service of Summons is a legal document used to waive service of a civil summons. It is a document that allows a defendant in a civil lawsuit to acknowledge a plaintiff's claim without having to appear in court. The Oklahoma Waiver of Service of Summons must be signed and notarized in order to be valid. There are two types of Oklahoma Waiver of Service of Summons: the Waiver of Service of Summons by Mail and the Waiver of Service of Summons by Personal Service. The Waiver of Service of Summons by Mail is completed by the defendant and sent to the plaintiff or their attorney via certified mail. The Waiver of Service of Summons by Personal Service is completed by the defendant and served on the plaintiff or their attorney in person. Both types of Oklahoma Waiver of Service of Summons waive the defendant's right to be formally served with a summons and acknowledge that the plaintiff's claim is valid.
