The Oklahoma Plan for the Care and Treatment of Ward (OPCW) is a comprehensive set of resources and services that provide support to individuals with mental health issues, developmental disabilities, or substance use disorders. It is designed to provide a continuum of care to individuals and families, and includes both in-patient and community-based services. The OPCW includes a variety of services such as crisis intervention, case management, supported education, supported employment, residential care, and psychological and psychiatric services. The OPCW includes three main types of plans: the Inpatient Plan, the Outpatient Plan, and the Intensive Outpatient Plan. The Inpatient Plan is designed to provide care and treatment for individuals experiencing more severe mental health, developmental disabilities, or substance use disorder issues. The Outpatient Plan is designed to provide care and treatment for individuals experiencing mild to moderate mental health, developmental disabilities, or substance use disorder issues. The Intensive Outpatient Plan is designed to provide more intensive care and treatment for individuals with more severe mental health, developmental disabilities, or substance use disorder issues. The OPCW is administered through the Oklahoma Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services (ODESSA). The ODESSA has established a variety of services to help individuals and families access the resources they need, including education and training, case management, residential services, and more. The ODESSA also provides resources to assist individuals and families in accessing quality care and treatment services.
