Oregon Access Easement (OAE) is a type of conservation easement that is used to protect public access for recreational activities on private land in Oregon. Ones are used to ensure that the public can use trails, paths, and other recreational areas on private land. These easements are voluntary agreements that are negotiated between private landowners and public agencies such as the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife, the Oregon Parks and Recreation Department, and the Bureau of Land Management. There are four types of Oregon Access Easements. The first is a Trailhead Access Easement, which ensures that public access to trails and paths is maintained. The second is a Wildlife Corridor Access Easement, which ensures that wildlife can move freely between public and private lands. The third is a Recreational Access Easement, which ensures that public access to recreational activities such as hunting, fishing, and camping is maintained. The fourth is a Water Access Easement, which ensures that public access to waterways and bodies of water is maintained.
