The Oregon Notice of Appeal (Juvenile) is a document used by a juvenile defendant in Oregon to appeal a conviction or a sentence from a juvenile court. It is filed with the Oregon Court of Appeals, which reviews the decision of the juvenile court. There are two types of Oregon Notice of Appeal (Juvenile): direct appeal and discretionary appeal. Direct appeal is used when the defendant believes that the court erroneously applied the law or made an incorrect factual finding, and discretionary appeal is used when the defendant believes that the court abused its discretion. In either case, the Oregon Notice of Appeal (Juvenile) must include the name of the juvenile defendant, the name of the juvenile court, the date of the conviction or sentence being appealed, the basis for the appeal, and the signature of the juvenile defendant or the juvenile defendant's attorney.
