Oregon Individual Debtors Motion For Entry of Discharge (For Cases Filed On Or After 10-17-05) is a court motion used by an individual debtor in the state of Oregon to obtain an order from the court discharging their debts after filing for bankruptcy. This type of motion is available for cases filed on or after October 17, 2005. The purpose of the motion is to demonstrate that the individual debtor has met all the requirements for discharge of their debts, which includes completing the approved credit counseling, completing the debtor education course, making all payments required in the bankruptcy plan, and filing all required documents with the court. There are two types of Oregon Individual Debtors Motion For Entry of Discharge (For Cases Filed On Or After 10-17-05): the Chapter 7 Motion and the Chapter 13 Motion. The Chapter 7 Motion is used when filing for relief under Chapter 7 of the Bankruptcy Code, in which the debtor is seeking a complete discharge of all eligible debts. The Chapter 13 Motion is used when filing for relief under Chapter 13 of the Bankruptcy Code, in which the debtor is seeking to reorganize their debts and make payment plans with their creditors.
