An Oregon Notice of Motion For Redemption Of Personal Property is a legal document that is used to protect the rights of a debtor in Oregon when a creditor has taken possession of personal property as collateral on a loan. The Notice of Motion is used to inform the creditor that the debtor intends to redeem the property by paying the full amount of the debt owed, plus interest and costs, and requests the creditor to return the property. This document must be served on the creditor prior to the debtor redeeming the property in order to be valid. There are two types of Oregon Notice of Motion For Redemption Of Personal Property: the Notice of Motion to Redeem Personal Property from a Sheriff’s Sale and the Notice of Motion to Redeem Personal Property from a Creditor’s Lien. The former is used in cases where the property has been sold in a Sheriff’s Sale, while the latter is used when the property is currently under a creditor’s lien.
