An Oregon Order Directing Employer to Pay Wages (Market) is a legal order issued by the Oregon Bureau of Labor and Industries (BOLD) requiring an employer to pay wages to an employee that they have not paid or have not paid in full. This order is issued when a wage claim has been filed with the BOLD and the employer has failed to respond or failed to reach an agreement with the employee. The order may require an employer to pay wages owed, including wages, overtime, back pay, penalties, and attorney's fees. It may also require the employer to provide other forms of relief such as reinstatement, back pay, or other damages. There are two types of Oregon Order Directing Employer to Pay Wages (Market): 1) Summary Order and 2) Final Order. A Summary Order is an immediate order from the BOLD requiring the employer to make full payment of wages, penalties, and other damages. A Final Order is an enforceable order from the BOLD that is issued after a hearing and requires the employer to pay the wages, penalties, and other damages as ordered by the BOLD.
