Oregon Confidential Information Form (CIF) is a form that is used by businesses in Oregon as a way to protect the confidential information of their employees. The form is mandated by Oregon law and must be completed by all employers in the state. It is designed to protect the privacy of employee information, such as social security numbers, bank account information, and other confidential information. The CIF requires employers to provide certain information to employees such as the employer's name, address, contact information, and the employee's name and address. It also requires employers to securely store this information and restrict access to it. There are two types of Oregon Confidential Information Form (CIF): the Short Form CIF and the Long Form CIF. The Short Form CIF is designed for employers with fewer than 50 employees and is a simpler version of the Long Form CIF. The Long Form CIF is a more detailed version and is for businesses with more than 50 employees. Both forms must be completed and submitted to the Oregon Department of Labor and Industries.
