The Oregon Petition to Renew Restraining Order (EPITAPH) is a legal document used in the state of Oregon to renew a restraining order. A restraining order is a court-issued order that requires one person to stay away from another. It sets out the conditions of contact, such as limiting the hours of contact, the distance of contact, or the types of contact. EPITAPH allows the petitioner to request that the restraining order be renewed when it is close to expiration. There are two types of Oregon Petition to Renew Restraining Order (EPITAPH): a Petition to Extend Restraining Order (EPP ERA) and a Petition to Modify Restraining Order (EPP MRA). EPP ERA is used to extend the duration of the restraining order without any changes to the existing terms. EPP MRA is used to modify the terms of a restraining order, such as changing the conditions of contact or extending the duration of the order. Both types of petitions must be signed by the petitioner and filed with the court.
