Oregon Motion Requesting Modification Due to Military Deployment is a legal process in which a court may modify child support and/or custody orders due to a military parent being deployed. This motion is typically filed by the military parent or by an attorney on behalf of the military parent. There are two types of Oregon Motion Requesting Modification Due to Military Deployment: temporary modification orders and permanent modification orders. Temporary modification orders are used when the military parent will be deployed for a short period of time, and are designed to temporarily reduce or suspend any child support and/or custody orders until the parent returns from deployment. Permanent modification orders are used when the military parent will be deployed for a longer period of time, and are designed to permanently modify any existing child support and/or custody orders.
