Oregon Group Self-Insured Indemnity Agreement is an agreement between a self-insured employer and an insurance carrier that provides protection against losses caused by the employer’s employees’ work-related activities. This agreement allows employers to self-insure their liability instead of purchasing a traditional insurance policy. The agreement will cover the employer for the costs of defending and settling claims, as well as any judgment or settlement amount. There are two types of Oregon Group Self-Insured Indemnity Agreement: the Employer-Funded Group Self-Insured Indemnity Agreement and the Employee-Funded Group Self-Insured Indemnity Agreement. The Employer-Funded Agreement is funded by the employer and provides protection against any losses caused by employees' work-related activities. The Employee-Funded Agreement is funded by the employees and provides protection for losses caused by their own negligence.
