The Oregon Vocational Assistance Certification Program (OVA CP) Registration of Vocational Assistance Provider is a program that allows providers to become certified to provide vocational assistance services to Oregon residents. Vocational assistance services include job search assistance, job placement assistance, career counseling, and job coaching. These services are provided to individuals who need help finding or maintaining employment. The OVA CP has three types of registration: Individual Provider, Group Provider, and Agency Provider. An Individual Provider is a person who meets the requirements of the OVA CP and is interested in providing vocational assistance services. A Group Provider is an organization or business that provides vocational assistance services, and an Agency Provider is an organization or business that provides job search assistance, job placement assistance, career counseling, or job coaching services to individuals who are receiving public assistance. To become an OVA CP provider, an individual or organization must complete an OVA CP Registration Application, provide proof of liability insurance, and complete a criminal background check. Once all documents have been received and approved, the provider will receive an OVA CP Certification Number, which is valid for three years.
