Oregon Physician Assistant’s Statement of Certification is a document issued by the Oregon Medical Board (OMB) for physician assistants (PAs) practicing in the state of Oregon. This document is required for PAs to obtain licensure in the state. It certifies that the PA is qualified to practice medicine in the state and has met the necessary educational, experience, and examination requirements. There are two types of Oregon Physician Assistant's Statement of Certification: Initial Certification and Recertification. Initial Certification is issued to PAs who have never held a PA license in the state of Oregon before and who have completed all the necessary educational, experience, and examination requirements. Recertification is issued to PAs who have previously held a PA license in the state of Oregon and who are seeking to renew their license. Both types of certification require that the PA complete a background check, provide proof of continuing medical education, and attest to the accuracy of all the information provided.
