The Oregon Naturopathic Physician's Statement of Certification is a document issued by the Oregon Board of Naturopathic Medicine (BNM) that confirms that an individual has met the qualifications to become a licensed naturopathic doctor in the state of Oregon. It is also known as the Oregon Naturopathic Physician License and is required for all naturopathic physicians practicing in the state. The Statement of Certification is issued upon successful completion of the Oregon Naturopathic Physician Licensing Examination and includes the individual's name, license number, expiration date, and any specialties or areas of practice. There are two types of Oregon Naturopathic Physician's Statements of Certification: Active and Inactive. An Active Statement of Certification indicates that the holder is currently licensed to practice naturopathic medicine in Oregon; an Inactive Statement of Certification indicates that the holder is not currently licensed to practice in Oregon, but may be eligible to do so in the future.
