The Pennsylvania Statement of Summary of Record is a document that provides a summary of a person’s criminal history in the state of Pennsylvania. It includes any criminal charges, arrests, dispositions and court records related to the person’s criminal history in Pennsylvania. This statement is generated by the Pennsylvania State Police and is useful for employers, landlords, and other organizations that need to conduct a background check. There are two types of Pennsylvania Statement of Summary of Record: the Standard Statement of Summary and the Expanded Statement of Summary. The Standard Statement of Summary provides basic information about a person’s criminal history, such as the date and county of the offense, the charges, and the disposition. The Expanded Statement of Summary includes additional details, such as the arresting agency, the sentencing court, and the sentencing date. Both the Standard and Expanded Statements of Summary are available to the public if the applicant has given written permission.
