The Pennsylvania Certificate of Readiness (COR) is a document issued by the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development (DIED) to businesses that have completed the necessary requirements to operate in the state. This certificate allows businesses to move forward with their operations in the state without any additional requirements. There are three types of Pennsylvania COR: the General Certificate of Readiness (GCR); the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Special Certificate of Readiness (FOR); and the Keystone Economic Development and Workforce Development (KED WD) Certificate of Readiness. The GCR is issued to businesses that have met the requirements specified by the state, such as registering with the Pennsylvania Department of State and obtaining necessary business licenses. The FOR is issued to businesses that have met the additional requirements specified by the state, such as obtaining local zoning permits, building permits, and fire and safety inspections. The KED WD COR is issued to businesses that have met the additional requirements specified by the state, such as submitting a business plan and obtaining additional financing. The Pennsylvania COR is an important document that businesses must obtain in order to operate legally in the state.
