The Pennsylvania Independent Expenditure Report — 24 Hour Reporting Form is a document used by organizations and individuals to report their independent expenditures in Pennsylvania elections. An independent expenditure is an expenditure made to support or oppose a candidate or ballot question, without coordinating with any candidate or campaign committee. This form must be filed within 24 hours of the expenditure being made. The form is divided into four sections. Section 1 requires the filer to provide basic contact information. Section 2 requires the filer to provide information about the expenditure, including the amount, recipient, purpose, and date of the expenditure. Section 3 requires the filer to provide information about the source of the funds used to make the expenditure. Section 4 requires the filer to provide a statement that the expenditure was made independently and not in coordination with any candidate or campaign committee. There are two types of the Pennsylvania Independent Expenditure Report — 24 Hour Reporting Form. The first is the one-time 24-Hour Report, which is used to report a single independent expenditure. The second is the 24-Hour Report for Periodic Filers, which is used to report multiple independent expenditures made during the same reporting period.
