Pennsylvania ARD Application is an application process available to first-time offenders in Pennsylvania who are eligible for the Accelerated Rehabilitative Disposition (ARD) program. This program, administered by the Pennsylvania Board of Probation and Parole, allows certain individuals an opportunity to have their criminal charges dismissed and their records expunged. Individuals must meet certain criteria in order to be eligible for ARD, such as having no prior criminal history, being a non-violent offender, and not being charged with a serious felony or a crime involving the use of a deadly weapon. The four types of Pennsylvania ARD Applications are ARD Expungement, ARD Non-Criminal Record, ARD Criminal Record, and ARD Direct File. ARD Expungement is used for individuals who are successful in completing the ARD program and wish to have their criminal record expunged from the court system. ARD Non-Criminal Record is used for individuals who have charges pending, but do not have a criminal record. ARD Criminal Record is used for individuals who have a criminal record and are eligible for the ARD program. ARD Direct File is used for individuals who have already been accepted into the ARD program but need to file the necessary paperwork with the court.
