Pennsylvania Electronic Fingerprinting Guidelines (46.4 KiB) is a document that provides guidance for individuals and organizations on the rules and regulations associated with obtaining and submitting electronic fingerprints for the purposes of background checks. The guidelines apply to all entities that use Pennsylvania’s electronic fingerprinting services, including employers, educational institutions, licensing boards, and government agencies. The document outlines the requirements for obtaining and submitting electronic fingerprint images, including the types of biometric devices that can be used, the appropriate file format, and the data encryption standards. Additionally, it outlines the process for submitting the fingerprints, including the submission of related documents, and the verification and approval of the submitted fingerprints. There are two types of Pennsylvania Electronic Fingerprinting Guidelines (46.4 KiB): the Standard Guidelines and the Enhanced Guidelines. The Standard Guidelines provide the basic requirements for obtaining and submitting electronic fingerprints, while the Enhanced Guidelines provide additional requirements that must be met for certain types of background checks.
