Pennsylvania Housing Rehab Assistance (132.0 KiB) is a program administered by the Pennsylvania Housing Finance Agency (PFA) that provides low-interest loans and grants to help low-income homeowners rehabilitate their homes. The program is designed to improve the safety, accessibility, and energy efficiency of the homes while increasing the value of the property. The program offers two types of assistance: the Keystone Home Loan Program and the Home Improvement Loan Program. The Keystone Home Loan Program provides low-interest, fixed-rate loans for homeowners to make necessary repairs and improvements to their homes. Qualifying projects may include roofing, plumbing, electrical, insulation, window/door replacement, and health/safety repairs. The loan amount must be between $5,000 and $25,000 and must be repaid over a maximum of 10 years. The Home Improvement Loan Program provides grants of up to $15,000 for qualifying homeowners to make necessary repairs and improvements to their homes. Eligible projects may include roofing, plumbing, electrical, insulation, window/door replacement, and health/safety repairs. The grants do not need to be repaid. Both programs are administered by PFA and are available to income-eligible homeowners in Pennsylvania.
