Pennsylvania Precise to Terminate Supersedes on Appeal is a form used in the state of Pennsylvania to end an appeal to an appellate court. It is typically used when an appellate court has entered a decision in favor of the appellant and the appellant wishes to terminate the supersedes (the court order that suspends the enforcement of the decision of the lower court) so that the original decision can be enforced. The Precise must include the name of the court, the case number, the name of the appellant, the name of the appealed, the date of the appellate court decision, and the date the Precise is being submitted. There are two types of Pennsylvania Precise to Terminate Supersedes on Appeal: Permanent Termination and Conditional Termination. A Permanent Termination is used when the appellant no longer wishes to pursue the appeal and the original decision of the lower court is to be enforced. A Conditional Termination is used when the appellant wishes to terminate the supersedes, but may still be pursuing the appeal. The appeal is typically stayed while the appellant attempts to negotiate a settlement with the appealed.
