Pennsylvania Precise to Satisfy Or Settle Discontinue And End is an official form that is used by a plaintiff to end a lawsuit in the state of Pennsylvania. The Precise is issued to the Prothonotary of the court in which the lawsuit was filed, and is also sent to the defendant and all other parties involved in the case. The Precise informs the court that the plaintiff is satisfied with the outcome of the case and no longer wishes to pursue it. There are two types of Pennsylvania Precise to Satisfy Or Settle Discontinue And End: a Precise to Satisfy and a Precise to Discontinue and End. The Precise to Satisfy is used when the plaintiff is satisfied with the outcome of the case and wants to end the lawsuit without any additional action. The Precise to Discontinue and End is used when the plaintiff is unsatisfied with the outcome of the case and wants to discontinue the lawsuit and end the case. In either case, the Precise must be signed by the plaintiff or their attorney. After the Precise has been issued, the court will then enter a Satisfaction of Judgment or Discontinuance and End Judgment, depending on the type of Precise that was issued. This officially ends the lawsuit and the case will be closed.
