Pennsylvania ORDER to ATTEND OUR Children FIRST SEMINAR is a program administered by the Pennsylvania Department of Education. It provides information on best practices for preventing and responding to child abuse and neglect, as well as the roles and responsibilities of mandated reporters. The program also offers training and resources to enhance the safety of children. There are three types of Pennsylvania ORDER to ATTEND OUR Children FIRST SEMINAR: Mandatory Reporter Training, Child Welfare Training, and Parent Engagement Training. Mandatory Reporter Training is required for any professional, including educators, who are likely to come into contact with children. This training focuses on recognizing and responding to signs of abuse and neglect. Child Welfare Training is designed for those who work with families affected by child abuse and neglect. It provides information on how to support families and create safe and supportive environments. Parent Engagement Training is a free seminar for families and caregivers of children in Pennsylvania. This seminar covers the importance of creating and maintaining a healthy and safe home environment for children, as well as how to recognize and respond to signs of abuse and neglect.
