Pennsylvania Precise FOR ENTRY of JUDGMENT Rule 1042.7 provides the procedure for entering a judgment in the court of common pleas and is a written request from a plaintiff or defendant to the Prothonotary or Clerk of Courts to enter a judgment on the docket. This rule can be used for final judgments or orders arising from a court proceeding, including consent judgments, default judgments, judgments after trial, orders granting summary judgment, and orders granting or denying injunctions. There are two types of Pennsylvania Precise FOR ENTRY of JUDGMENT Rule 1042.7: a precise for entry of judgment without damages, and a precise for entry of judgment with damages. The precise for entry of judgment without damages is used when the court does not award damages to either party. The precise for entry of judgment with damages is used when the court does award damages to either party and specifies the amount of damages to be awarded.
