A Pennsylvania Notice of Appeal From The Award of The Board of Arbitrators is a document filed with the court by a party to an arbitration that is dissatisfied with the award of the Board of Arbitrators. This document informs the court that the party wishes to appeal the award of the Board of Arbitrators and requests that a trial de Nova (new trial) be held. There are two types of Pennsylvania Notice of Appeal From The Award of The Board of Arbitrators: 1) a Notice of Appeal to the Court of Common Pleas and 2) a Notice of Appeal to the Commonwealth Court of Pennsylvania. Both types of Notice must include the names of the parties involved in the arbitration, the award of the Board of Arbitrators, the date it was issued, and the amount of the award, as well as the date and the court where the arbitration was held. The Notice must also contain a statement of the party's reasons for appealing the award, and must be signed and dated by the appealing party.
