A Candidate Petition Order requires a candidate to submit a petition and gather signatures from registered voters in order to get placed on the ballot for an election. A Referendum Petition Order requires a political issue committee to submit a petition and gather signatures from registered voters in order to get a referendum placed on the ballot, or to get a referendum question removed from the ballot. A Political Party Petition Order requires a political party to submit a petition and gather signatures from registered voters in order to get the party's name listed on the ballot for an election.
