The Pennsylvania Certificate of Readiness (COR) is a document issued by the Pennsylvania Department of Education that indicates that a student is prepared for postsecondary education, employment, and/or independent living. It is awarded to high school students who have met certain academic, attendance, and completion requirements. The certificate is designed to be a portable, non-traditional credential that can be used to demonstrate readiness for life beyond high school. There are two types of Pennsylvania Certificate of Readiness: the Standard COR and the Enhanced COR. The Standard COR is awarded to students who have completed a minimum of twenty-four credits, achieved a grade point average of at least 2.0, and have met attendance requirements. The Enhanced COR is awarded to students who have completed a minimum of twenty-four credits, achieved a grade point average of at least 3.0, and have met attendance requirements.
