The Pennsylvania Dismemberment Chart is a tool used by medical professionals in the state of Pennsylvania to determine the amount of financial compensation owed to a person who has suffered a dismemberment. The chart is used to calculate disability benefits for a person who has lost the use of an arm, leg, hand, foot, toe, thumb, index finger, or other body part due to an accident or injury. The chart is based on the degree of disability, which is determined by the amount of use a person has lost in that particular body part. There are two types of Pennsylvania Dismemberment Chart: the Traditional Pennsylvania Dismemberment Chart and the Modified Pennsylvania Dismemberment Chart. The Traditional Pennsylvania Dismemberment Chart provides an exact dollar amount for the total amount of benefits a person is entitled to receive, based on the degree of disability. The Modified Pennsylvania Dismemberment Chart provides a range of benefits, based on the degree of disability, which is determined by a points system.
