The Pennsylvania Notice of Compensation Payable is a form used by employers to provide notice to employees of their rights to compensation for a work-related injury or illness. It is required under the Pennsylvania Workers' Compensation Act and must be filed with the Pennsylvania Bureau of Workers' Compensation within 21 days of the injury or illness. The Notice includes information such as the name of the injured employee, the date of injury, the nature of the injury, the employer's insurance carrier, and the right of the employee to have a hearing to contest the amount of compensation sought. There are two types of Pennsylvania Notice of Compensation Payable: Notice of Lost Time and Notice of Permanent Partial Disability. The Notice of Lost Time is used when an employee is unable to work due to their injury or illness, and the Notice of Permanent Partial Disability is used when an employee is able to return to work but will have a permanent disability as a result of the injury or illness.
