Rhode Island Articles of Incorporation (Domestic Corp) are legal documents used to form a corporation in the state of Rhode Island. They are filed with the Rhode Island Secretary of State to create a legal entity with the purpose of conducting business activities. There are two types of Rhode Island Articles of Incorporation (Domestic Corp): standard and nonprofit. The standard Articles of Incorporation (Domestic Corp) must include the name of the corporation, its purpose, the type of corporation, the Principal Office Address, the Registered Agent name and address, the number of shares the corporation is authorized to issue, and the names and addresses of the incorporates. The nonprofit Articles of Incorporation (Domestic Corp) must include the name of the corporation, its purpose, the type of corporation, the Principal Office Address, the Registered Agent name and address, and the names and addresses of the incorporates. The Articles of Incorporation (Domestic Corp) must be signed and acknowledged by all the incorporates and must be accompanied by a filing fee in order to be accepted.
