Rhode Island Articles of Incorporation (Professional Service Corp) are legal documents that are used to form a professional service corporation in the state of Rhode Island. These documents are filed with the Rhode Island Secretary of State's office and must include the name of the corporation, the purpose of the corporation, the names of the incorporates, the directors, the registered agent and their contact information, the number of shares of stock being authorized, and the address of the corporation. The articles must also be signed by the incorporated and notarized. There are two types of Rhode Island Articles of Incorporation (Professional Service Corp): Initial Articles of Incorporation and Amended Articles of Incorporation. Initial Articles of Incorporation are filed when a corporation is first formed, and Amended Articles of Incorporation are filed when changes are made to the corporation, such as a change of name, purpose, or address.
