The Rhode Island UCC Financing Statement Amendment is a document used to make changes to an already existing UCC financing statement. It is a document required to be filed with the Rhode Island Secretary of State in order to amend a UCC financing statement already on file. This document is used to modify information about the secured party, the debtor, the collateral, or any other information on the financing statement that needs to be changed. There are two types of Rhode Island UCC Financing Statement Amendment: (1) Amendment to Add Collateral and (2) Amendment to Change Information. The Amendment to Add Collateral is used to add additional collateral to an existing financing statement. The Amendment to Change Information is used for any other changes to the financing statement, such as changes to the debtor or secured party information. Both types of amendment are required to be submitted to the Rhode Island Secretary of State in order to be valid.
