South Carolina International Parental Kidnapping (SCI PK) is a criminal act in which one parent unlawfully takes a child to another country without the consent of the other parent. There are two types of SCI PK: cross-border kidnapping and international abduction. Cross-border kidnapping occurs when a parent takes a child to another country without the other parent’s permission or legal authorization.
