South Carolina POSSESSION OF BODY ARMOR BY VIOLENT FELON is a criminal offense in which a person with a violent felony conviction is found in possession of body armor. This offense is punishable by up to five years in prison and/or a fine of up to $1,500. There are two types of South Carolina POSSESSION OF BODY ARMOR BY VIOLENT FELON: transporting body armor and possessing body armor. Transporting body armor involves knowingly carrying body armor in a vehicle, while possessing body armor involves knowingly having body armor on one’s person. Both offenses are illegal for anyone who has been convicted of a violent felony.
